i still like playing with blocks

So I was in the store for adult grape juice the other day about to bring home a nice pinot grigio when i quite literally stumbled across this (but in a cabernet).

It seems that lately high quality, low priced wines are all the rage these days and now i finally came across one. (this product may have been out for months, but this was the first time i physically came across it.)

so i said what the hell, i'll give it a try.
aside from drunk curiosity i'll tell you why i bought it and why it will be successful regardless of the purity of vino folk looking down at me.

1) packaging
it's a cube. hell, if people buy ipods that are inferior to other mp3 players, you'll be sure they'll gravitate to this puppy.

When I saw them all stacked in the store, for some reason i immediately envisioned how perfectly multiple boxes would fit all tetris like in my fridge. The person that said hey let's put it in a block akin to what every one of us has played with at some point in our lives, makes you just want to start playing with it.

2) volume
You get the equivalent of two, not one, but TWO bottles (1.5 ltrs) in this super compact lil cube.

3) it's $10
for less than the price of two drinks out you can take home a box of the stuff.

4) the shit ain't that bad
now it isn't something to age and appreciate, but it was pretty good (at least the cab was; still gotta try the others)
and if you're like me, then experimenting with new wines is always fun.
granted sometimes it's a gamble where if you lose you're forced to swig down some nasty concoction.
but chances are if you're like me, you'll be up for the challenge.

It's a good table wine, and as far as box wine goes quite decent.
now don't get me wrong. i love the overpriced expensive stuff that is way overrated as well.
and nothing can ever replace a glass bottle with a real piece of cork (not the rubber stoppers), but i can't be a snob all the time.

so you should all bring me some. or better yet, something new you've discovered.
